Roche Grootfaam has had a tremendous season thus far at the College of Southern Idaho! Yesterday, as a 6'8" forward for CSI, he was named SWAC Player of the Week. Guess where he came from!? Covenant Christian Ministries Academy!
Originally from Paramaribo, Suriname, Grootfaam spent three of his high school years being trained, groomed, and coached by Frederick T. Anderson, Sr. This is what CSI had to say about him: The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball big man Roche Grootfaam led the Golden Eagles past USU Eastern Saturday 114-77, being named Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his play. The sophomore, who will be headed to Utah State University next season, finished the game with 16 points, 13 rebounds, two blocked shots and one assist. He was 5-for-7 from the field and 6-for-6 from the free-throw line.
Keep up the good work, Roche!
Congratulations, Roche! We're so proud of you!
